The Congress focuses on medical genetics, translational research topics, opportunities for training and healthcare policy discussions, as well as next-generation sequencing technologies and their applications in diagnostics.

The joint annual meeting of the German Society of Immunology and the Austrian Society of Allergology and Immunology was held from September 7–10 in Hannover, Germany, gathering key opinion leaders to discuss basic and translational immunology in context of various diseases. Nicolas Damond, PhD, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich, gave a presentation on the use of highly multiplexed immunohistochemistry with Imaging Mass Cytometry™ to perform simultaneous profiling of insulin-producing β cells located in pancreatic islets and the immune cells that infiltrate these islets.

The 9th Immunotherapy of Cancer Conference was held September 22–24 in Munich, Germany. The meeting provides a global platform for translational research in the field of immuno-oncology as well as a forum for discussion of early clinical translation and its unique challenges. ITOC’s goal is to create a setting where those dedicated to the immunotherapy of cancer can exchange knowledge and findings to advance oncology drug development and delivery.

On September 23, the 2nd Benelux User Group Meeting was held at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. The meeting featured a group of scientists speaking about their latest findings using CyTOF® technology as well as an opportunity to see CyTOF XT™ performing live.

The 4th Research Day in Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy took place in in Leuven, Belgium, on October 18. The conference’s national and international keynote speakers focus on innovative developments in the fundamental, translational and clinical field of tumor immunology and immunotherapy.

The Cytometry Society of Ireland’s 2022 annual meeting was held on October 25 in Dublin, Ireland. CSI provides a forum for all who work in cytometry in Ireland, keeping members informed of developments in instrumentation, reagents and experimental design.

On October 27, the first Italian CyTOF Congress was held at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan, Italy, marking the first time the Italian scientific research community came together to hear how researchers are using CyTOF technology in the realms of flow cytometry and tissue imaging. The lineup featured a host of world-renowned speakers including Andrea Cossarizza and Enrico Lugli and an introduction from Alberto Mantovani.

The French Society for Immunology and the French Association of Cytometry hosted their inaugural joint annual meeting from November 22–24 in Nice, France, focusing on a wide range of subjects based on fundamental and applied research, as well as cutting-edge technology. Sales Manager of Tissue Imaging and Cytometry Solutions Sathiesan Thambirajah also gave a presentation on our new, ready-to-use 45-plus-marker flow cytometry panels.
