Here’s an example of fast screening of an entire tissue microarray containing dozens of human glioma cores using Imaging Mass Cytometry™, identifying the spatial distribution of over 40 distinct molecular markers. Preview Mode on Hyperion XTi™ was applied to rapidly screen for expression signatures associated with tumor #immunooncology processes. This enabled biomarker-guided selection of areas in tumor tissue that were imaged at higher resolution and analyzed with #singlecell analysis using Cell Mode. Hyperion™ XTi now offers three modes for rapid and detailed spatial biology analysis: (1) Preview Mode for quick whole slide overviews; (2) Tissue Mode for whole slide imaging in real time; and (3) Cell Mode to analyze regions of interest at single-cell resolution. By leveraging the different modes on Hyperion XTi™, researchers can quickly visualize tissue heterogeneity in minutes and can then conduct deeper analysis on targeted regions. What is it about microfluidics anyway? Because of the smaller scale and computational aspect of the instrument that processes a microfluidic circuit, one system can be made to do multiple things, such as real-time PCR and NGS library preparation. This means no more cluttered benchtops and less time-consuming protocols. See more answers: https://lnkd.in/gHcmsSTd #labautomation #biomarkers #discovery #screening

Traditional methods for understanding patient response to immune checkpoint blockade therapy in triple-negative #breastcancer provide limited information, making it difficult to predict which patients will benefit most. But what if we could analyze the tumor microenvironment at a whole new level of detail? Join us for a webinar, hosted by Giampaolo Bianchini, MD, from the San Raffaele Hospital, who will talk about a recently published Nature paper that delves into the power of Imaging Mass Cytometry™ for precision immuno-oncology. When exhaustion sets in, pushing through to finish the job can be tough. This couldn’t be more true than for #Tcells working to destroy a tumor … T cell exhaustion is well documented in all kinds of diseases, and is an integral part of the cancer-fighting process that we are only beginning to fully understand – a process that immunotherapy, particularly immune checkpoint blockades, aims to help modulate. Read our latest #scienceblog highlighting a foundational study on T cell exhaustion as it applies to #breastcancer: https://lnkd.in/gT9ziTxq #CyTOF #imaging
